Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and [COMPANY LEGAL ENTITY] (“Pivento”, “we”, “us”) governing your use of the Pivento mobile apps, this website (pivento.app), and related services. You are reading the pre-launch draft; the final terms will be published before the app is released.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Pivento, you agree to these terms. If you use Pivento on behalf of an organization, you confirm you’re authorized to bind that organization to them.

2. Accounts

You need an account to create and sync codes. Accounts are provided through Firebase Authentication; you’re responsible for keeping your sign-in method secure and for activity under your account. Anonymous accounts are supported: they work like any account, but if you lose access to the device before adding a sign-in method, we may be unable to restore your codes.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Pivento to:

• Point codes at phishing pages, malware, or anything else intended to deceive or harm the people who scan them;
• Break the law, infringe others’ rights, or send spam;
• Abuse, overload, or attempt to break the service, or circumvent its limits and security.

We may suspend or remove codes, or suspend accounts, that put scanners or the service at risk — after notice where practical, and immediately where there’s clear danger to scanners.

4. Your content

Your codes and their destinations are yours. You grant us only the license needed to operate the service: storing your content, resolving scans, and syncing it to your devices. We don’t display, sell, or reuse your QR content for anything else.

5. Subscriptions and billing

The free tier is a real, permanent plan: 10 dynamic codes, unlimited static codes, no ads. Codes on the free tier never expire, and cancellation never deactivates codes you’ve already created.

Pro is an optional subscription: unlimited dynamic codes, advanced analytics, custom short-link domains, landing pages, and batch create. Subscriptions are purchased in-app and billed through Google Play Billing or Apple In-App Purchase, processed with RevenueCat as our subscription infrastructure. Billing, refunds, and cancellations follow the store’s own policies. If you cancel, Pro features pause at the end of the current period — your codes keep working.

6. Availability and changes

We work hard to keep the service running, but we can’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service in a way that matters, we’ll give reasonable notice and a path to export your data.

7. Termination

You can stop using Pivento and delete your account at any time from the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. When your account is deleted, your data is deleted in line with our Privacy Policy — and any codes you created stop resolving, because you asked us to delete them, not because your subscription lapsed.

8. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We don’t warrant that scanned destinations are safe: use judgment when scanning codes from unknown sources, and rely on Pivento’s security previews as an aid, not a guarantee.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Pivento isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for direct damages is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim — or, if you never paid, the greater of what you paid and a reasonable minimum set by local law.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Where consumer protection law in your country gives you stronger rights, those rights apply.
